The art is fine in the dojo or martial arts tournaments but difinately not in the streets. Thank you gentlemen for bringing this out and making the truth be told. I think you guys are Great I watch you every day, and that pose is a favourite defensive position that I use as I'm approached, to put them at their ease. It's very fast and I'm not as gentle as you are, but no I wouldn't move into it. as soon as he's too close I'm hitting the first destroyable area I can and it's usually over, I've been told it doesn't work by many a master.
From what I can tell Vee Arnis JU JIstu is combatives along the same practical application as Carl Cestari, Kelly MccAnnn, Damian Ross and TIm Larkin. The strikes are not as brutal no edge of hand blows double chin jabs etc, Still Vee Arnis has similiar concepts with more concentration on the pre fight interview process which is great. Vee Arnis Ju Jistsu is now one of my go to instructors sites and added to this list of no bs favorites

2 cans of pepper spray in a holster and a edc below clipped are my self defense methods. Used effectively twice.
Has anyone mentiined to Professor James that parts if his demonstration video is washed out and cant actually be seen

I believe the video he show is just a flow drill. The real masters from that system know how to transfer that very well like Doug Marcaida.

If Vee Arnis Ju Jitsu isnโt called a martial art, what should we call it? โreality based self defenseโ is a pretty long phrase.
