3 Self-Defense Escapes Everyone Should Learn

Last month, this mother of three was bear hugged from behind and slammed on her head by a suspected robber who followed her for 24 miles before carrying out the attack. Here are 3 bear hug defenses everyone should learn. 🙏🏼

Jamaal Stanton says:

Good luck with that knee break after getting scooped up offf guard. 😅

Derrick Pigatt says:

People like this, is the reason i train so hard.

a. i. says:

Grab nuts and squeeze end of confrontation, zero skills needed

Steve says:

DO NOT EVER DROP TO THE GROUND!! YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE THERE ARE WITH AN ATTACKER!!! THIS IS NOT GOOD ADVICE. I KNOW FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE! THE VERY LAST PLACE YOU WANT TO BE IS ON THE GROUND!

Michael Valceanu says:

The first one is questionable. Why should the ideal outcome of your technique be putting yourself on your back? Literally the worst thing you can do in a self defense situation or street fight. I know he said ideally you face your opponent and disengage, but essentially pulling guard in self defense is so dumb.

Cirezel says:

Helps us little dudes as well. Thanks

M K says:

That assault was so disgusting

Carbon and Titanium says:

Surprised he didn't mention hook the leg

Nicholas Boruta says:

Lol rener… shut up

meowmeow says:

So good to know these moves. Thank you for sharing ❤

HaveADay says:

Ah yes… the Gracie fantasy world tutorial. “Break the knee” lol.

gwom45 says:

2 and 3 won’t work if you’re picked up in the air tho.

Reilly Flaherty says:

Number 1: shoot them
Number 2: stab them

Shawery Marz says:

I mean, in this scenario that wouldn't have worked but still pretty cool.

Aczear Tk says:

You can't expect a normal, untrained women to do this.
You need awareness of every part of you body, and normal people simply don't have that.

You're better off running and screaming for help.

Thomas says:

… or buy a gun.

TDS1108 says:

Think there was a fumble of words, Rener meant 24 minutes which is still a long time. 24 miles walking 2-4 mph avg walking speed is 6-12 hours.

yabigitisine says:

Go back and watch the beginning again…there was no time to do any of these moves, you know why? Because the attacker doesn’t wait for you to do all these moves in real life.

BlaBlaBla says:

Seems easy to me

Doc Holliday says:

I'm pretty sure I passed you in LAX on March 9th. I would have shook your hand but I was going to miss my flight..mabe next time 😂

Sbot says:

I mean these are good tips but require some decent training, don't think breaking knees or that wil be so easy probably better to just drop take a hit or two and still live. If the person is considerably bigger than you then even that isn't really going to help much.

Kyan B says:

I see so many people often times doubt these videos. The male instructor in this video is Rener Gracie, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu jitsu that practically specializes in self defense Jiu jitsu. His wife in the video is also an accomplished Jiu jitsu athlete, if you are going to take self defense advice from anybody, it is these two ❤️

Mike Neidlinger says:

Does Rener teach the one where you adjust to the technique as you go? I have already mastered these techniques and ready to learn more in case the it goes down.

Portion Control says:

If you're on the ground you can't run.

Ysrael Torres says:

Break the knee if you want😂

Chris Blanchard says:

These are good but they dont go along with the attack you showed. The attacker picked up the lady and slammed her to the ground. These wouldn’t work if grabbed from behind and picked up off the ground.

Delegado valdivia says:

This is so bs
