Welcome to Episode 2 of the Women’s Self Defense Championship (WSDC) – a unique reality competition where four contestants from different backgrounds face realistic self-defense scenarios inspired by real-life encounters.
Throughout the championship, the contestants are challenged physically and mentally while being evaluated by expert judges on their awareness, decision-making, technique, and ability to protect themselves under pressure. Every scenario is an opportunity to learn, improve, and earn points toward becoming the first-ever Women’s Self Defense Champion.
This isn’t about who can fight the hardest – it’s about making the right decisions when it matters most.
Featuring:
• April Frey – Judo black belt
• Lindsey Payne – MMA fighter
• Xenia Rooders – self defense expert
• Miglė Kuliesaite – scientist / regular person
Expert judges:
• Amber Hoover
• Petr Cihelník

– When I teach my girls, I teach easy, fast techniques that these girls didn't use. I don't teach punching, since men will always out-power us. I don't want to give away my teaching – so a man won't learn the secrets, and be prepared for them. You can easily "fell" a large man – with my teaching. Any of you women want to know, reply to me. And no "Selling" – I teach for free.
April was amazing she was fighting to survive not win it seemed like she has great instincts. Xenia as well both of those women did very well. But a armed civilian with some training like this would go even further but for a mock fights amazing. Sometimes surviving is running away and that is the largest win.
Giving April 3 points after a takedown and armbar is ridiculous. The blows she took weren't ideal but they were glancing swipes, which all the ladies took. She deserved at least a 6 from the male judge
As a average guy who never fought i would love to try it too. I have some size but nit the best health it would be interesting to see how i would hold up.. i think People overestimate how hard it might be for a guy protect his girl in a real Szenario, or if he is in a bad neighborhood. I once faced a gun and the only way i could escape is by word and my brain, but only a attack…
I think April deserved more points on a transport round (the second round) because she was basically playing Chess with her opponent. The wide leg stance she had and her shear power made it so that she was one of the only contestants that didn't have her body hovering over the cushion. Then the guy was fully on top of her afterwards and in this scenario he might have wanted to put both of his legs on the floor so he can lift her up from a straight upwards angle, but what does she do? I really believe she lifted him up with her back… Which them made him make a mistake. As a reaction he adjusted his position to her left side and once he did that she got a lot more control of the situation, shifted with him some more, hit him, and escaped. I get if time was a clear rule and there is no place for stopping the opponents power with her legs or long winded tactics that made her escape like that though. Even in that case below 5 points is way too low for what she achieved. She was basically playing Smash Bros. with him in my opinion.
Can the female Judge please show, that she would do better herself? Nothing looks professional here. Its just the ugly dirty wrestling with advatage of weight… Those situations are crap. Always. If one can get away, totaly fair.
This is very interesting. I took Judo for awhile back in college. I'm kinda surprised she didn't throw him to the ground a few times. In my classes, I had to throw a man who was about this man's size over my head. But then again we never know what we'd do or not do in a real life fight for our life.

7:41 No one is talking about the sexual assault that actually happened though.
7:47 lol
Rokas, what if you made a championship for children and traps children will fall into?

Extreme case. How common are 250 lb attackers with the time to roll around on the ground whatever the intent.
Xenia is the real talent on this show
Those judges sucked.
Didn't see much ball kicking, shin scraping or eye gouging going on. No one tried to bite off any ears.
problem with this test is the safety gear. Everyone's fine until you get punched in the face. Whether it be the attacker or the defender.
First girl was fucking good, but the big guy was fucking shit
I'm enjoying that hit me like this 😅
Men: Allowed to grab.
Female: Allowed to use any means
Okay….

What NONSENSE! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
None of them held up. The guy isn't trying at all. He's only trying to pin them. They can kick and punch, but he can't.
Are we supposed to act like this 250lb guy is untrained ??? Like he obviously knows some wrestling and bjj

Once there is a large enough size and strength difference, there is no amount of training or skill that will close the gap

The TRUTH is, no matter how well trained a 120 pound woman is, she has almost no chance against a 250 pound male that is intent on hurting her.
Xenia looks like a lot of fun, personality-wise. She's a beast too, sheesh!

Wow these are cool ladies.
I don't know the guy but immediately recognised Czech accent 😀
