In an 3 hour long seminar, he went through all the basics of handling the Shillelagh, empty hand close quarter combat, striking and blocking with the Irish Stick. In between he gave a deep insight into the historical background of Irish Stick Fighting and its origin. Keegan Bata, the fighting style of his family, originated in Ireland in the 1600s and was used on the battlefield by his ancestors. It was taught to him when he was a child by his father for self-defense. #ireland #history #keegan #stickfighting #irish #boxing #martialarts #budo #sobudo #selfdefense #bartitsu *Chapters:* 00:00 Opening 00:15 Holding the stick 01:32 Origin of stick fencing 03:39 Close quarters combat 06:11 Stick fencing techniques 08:42 Thorns on the Shillelagh 09:09 About faction fights Have we piqued your interest❓ Then join the Sobudo Academy❗ 👉 https://sobudo.academy/

Interessante, ähnliche Lösungen gibt es in Eskrima und Hanbo. Auch der historische Aspekt ist wichtig.
