The pepperball gun was stupid in this case, for sure. The only good thing about this outcome is the bad guy is out of the home, and will be in prison for a while. They did say, he was a repeat offender, in the case of domestic disturbances, so at least that has gotten put to an end, for a while.

@PrimalInstinct0704 says:

Dogs are family, get that out your head. the law needs to change for that too.

@Lincoln1_5 says:

Bro thought he was Leonardo

@J_needs_more_golf says:

What was the deal with the dude keeping the garage door open?

@SteveBlevins-y3q says:

Still amazes me that people call cops at all. Don't call cops to solve your problems.

@SmickyD says:

he was pretty fast you gotta give him that. not faster than a bullet but still pretty fast. 😂

@JPAFJR says:

They gave him plenty of opportunities to calm down. But my concern was the other occupants which they’re blessed this person didn’t use them as a hostage since his mind was gone. Hopefully he’ll get the help he needs first Jesus then other help.

@sambaroni7970 says:

At least he survived and no one else got hurt!

@amsterdamr0x says:

Don't go back in for the dog? It's property in the eyes of the law? Unsubscribe.

@MrPhantompants says:

whoever came up with the idea to sell a second door to people is a genius lol never underestimate stupid i guess lmao

@neilharvey94 says:

Better approach for families facing these circumstances…leave the house, don't call the police. Contact the family member hours later and see if they've calmed down. Stay away from them until they have.

@weozol4065 says:

John, the fucking net gun

@inspector4133 says:

I think you need to be more aware of how important dogs (and other animals) can be to people in these situations. They aren't just "property" to many people. While working in Louisiana right before and after Katrina I met many people who would not evacuate if they couldn't take their pets. Some people had to be left, and some of them died. It's just a fact that as LEO's we have to take this into account in some situations. Often, people can't be talked into leaving a domestic abuse situation because they fear for what will happen to their pet. We know that facilities are more effective at getting people to leave a DA situation when the facility can accept (or place) the family pet. It's a reality, whether you want to acknowledge it or not. Belittling these people on your channel is not helpful in trying to get these people out of these situations, as it can serve to harden the old school mentality about people not being smart enough to leave an abuser. It's always complicated and there are many reasons at play here. I get the realities of life and death, and your feeling that human lives are more important, but many victims aren't in that same place. And as the officers on the scene, we need to be cognizant of it.

@legendarygigolo823 says:

I've never seen a ceiling fan in a garage before until now 🥴

@OG_Rider says:

Is Jesus God or the son of God?

@eyeofchorus6313 says:

He survived so he's going to cost the public 5 million dollars over the next 10 years.

@Durandalski says:

I think the pepperballs might have accelerated the attack, but didn't cause it. That guy was always going to attack, he made that very clear in his statements at the door, it was only a question of when. The pepperballs might be worse than useless, but I'm sure the officers were following their policy that required them to attempt less lethal before resorting to deadly force if at all possible. The police agency emphasis in their caption that the officers tried less lethal force prior to the shooting would strongly indicate the officers were doing what was expected of them. Should that policy change, maybe. But public perception might be against these officers who were doing a fine job, if they didn't make some attempt to use less lethal, no matter how pointless or even counterproductive it might be in reality. That's the world we live in. 😛

@davidmc1489 says:

Pretty plain and simple….runnin at cops with multiple knives…..yeah. Kinda dumb.

@trekfortruth2841 says:

Sorry…my dogs have never been property.

@johnwardle8513 says:

John,
What kind of weight loss have you participated in?

@dercorta-noyokamiboyteenpr2166 says:

i mean, in germany. the police would get the dog instead of the family memember. cause he could get held hostage if he gets back inside

@4bernales1 says:

That's what you get for acting any kine!!!

@iTuber012 says:

Terrible situation all around for the officers and the family members having to just sit and watch

@lou1958 says:

He doesn't need to worry about serving time if his local DA was financed by Soros. They'll let him out with little or no bond and sentence him probation or some BS. It's not his fault because of the "system".

@NoOpinion-z9q says:

His name is mcgilla the gorilla

@jtomaha1730 says:

cop did a horrible job protecting the innocents removed from the home tbh. he let the guy continuously go back into the garage. wow

@spitfirestake54 says:

Good job officers! You tried but he forced your hand. He needs to be in prison for a long time.

@JOHN-hf9ow says:

Always depressing when the violent offender makes it. Dems will let this guy out, for sake of argument, look at someone like Alvin Bragg for proof.

@Off-target-xy6bx says:

Officers done pretty well with the situation at hand IMO. Don’t blame them for using less lethal or the outcome. I don’t think it was going to end any other way and the longer it lasted the more chances of someone else being hurt.
