Welcome to the Martial Arts Journey YouTube channel!
My name is Rokas. I’m a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises.
Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton.
After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my YouTube channel called “Martial Arts Journey”.
Now I am slowly setting up plans to continue training MMA under quality guidance and getting ready for my next MMA fight as I further document and share my journey and discoveries.

I send my brother the Circle Drill video, as I know, he is into MA. His wife, who HATES violence of any kind, no matter in sports or arguments or bar fights, against people or animals, who simply hates the idea of creatures not getting along, watched it with awe and interest. 'You can really see the differences between those guys! So fascinating!' I can't wait to hear her commentory on the Scenarios or Zombieland 🙂
That being said, Thank You all for doing this series.
Poor Rokas he was expecting burly henchmen to murder him or get stabbed in the eye with a pen, he never expected to get sexually harassed to keep his job! But for real though men are victims of sexual harassment and this really needs to be talked about more.
did anyone else think ramsay was going to do the deed to keep his job? when he said he was worried about losing his job i thought we were going to get some really hard to watch role play
This is my favorite video in the series so far–but you should really include that it's the USDC in the title. I know you're probably testing various titles, but I don't think that part should be optional. Even if it's just "(USDC #5)" at the end for example. People should immediately know it's part of the series by the title and thumbnail, just my opinion.
Another great episode. Mad respect for all the competitors and participants. I have personally lived through the theater scenario. Can't praise you this series enough
11:00 "It was so confusing, the bloody guy was saying he stabbed someone."
In retrospect it's kind of obvious, but I thought the Aussie lingo was rubbing off on Icy Mike on the short I saw where he said that and on the intro teaser segment hahaha.
I think you gathered a perfect group of fighters. It’s very interesting to see the different tactics. Also funny at times when for example you see how calm Rokas was when he tried to diffuse the situation and then you have mike kicking the guy.
I used to work in jail / corrections. We had a violent schizophrenic delivered to us whose 1st actions were to strip naked in his cell, urinate, defecate, and then masturbate in his toilet. He then proceeded to stir it all, rub his body with it, and drink a cupful of his sludge. It was not the only time I encountered fecal matter and body fluids, and I sure appreciate not working in that field anymore.
i think one of the biggest take aways from this video is the fact a self defense situation could happen literally anywhere any time, now its not trying to say live with your guard up constantly but more so be more aware of the potential hazards even if they look innocent
I'm sorry, but I'm going to say it…Scenario 3 is the friggin dream for a lot of guys, lol. Our brains are not even capable of processing why it might be problematic. I don't care what "modern society" we're living in. That is 100% only an issue when it's a male boss and a female employee.
Kudos to Jeff Phillips' team for setting up these incredible scenarios. A lot of the social aspects tend to get overlooked, not just in self defense but in general training. It's often very difficult to spot that you're in a similar situation until it's escalated beyond recovery.

Should've whispered "can we have the cameraman out for a moment?"

Bro that Last scenario I dunno a tall in shape woman? GIVE ME THAT BAG😅
That's why in our country, out cinema ticket has fixed seat, cannot move around. That solve lots of potential problem.

I really like the format, the idea, the "cast" and the venue and the editing is great.
The tasks are really diverse and we'll picked.
Hope you will do this again.
Back to the comment section to comment on that thumbnail game. It's on point.
Well I guess sometimes we ought to make sacrifices for our jobs you know lmao
Regular socially inept person: I never get the signs people are flirting with me.
Rokas, a married guy: SHE'S GONNA STAB ME IN THE NECK.

18:39 I usually skip this part😂
We need more of this show!

What scenario would have caused every person in the movie theatre to fight?
Yes! Creative role playing scenarios is sooo important. Great job everyone.
This might be the best one so far on pragmatic awareness.
U should keep the original titles that say self defense championship and the number with the video to avoid confusion
The thumbnail LOL

When I saw the shower I thought they were going to do a prison rape scenario.
