Well, you wouldn’t have to switch Kick because your punches at that range are hitting pads and his arms are out in front of him so the switch kick wouldn’t make sense, but then again your punches wouldn’t be in punching range where you’re standing so switch kicking is not necessary at a realistic close range. You have to be standing much closer and make it look more realistic that way. Sure if you’re standing to toe throwing why would you even try to switch Kick, you would be too close.
