I'm ambivalent about self-defense for women because in the vast majority of cases, the man will easily overpower the woman. Please understand I have been a martial artis for a lifetime and taught women's classes. Now, taking a self-defense class is fine, because it will help with confidence and hopefully the woman will never need to use it. Situational awareness is the most important thing along with stay out of high-risk situations in the first place.
