If a crazy committed guy with intent to hurt her put her in a rear naked choke, she would have been out to fast to light him up. But if a person sees it coming in time and they have lighter in hand before he grabs her this might be of some use. But if the guy’s high on meth, he might not even feel it before she’s unconscious.
The best way is to avoid getting into a situation where this could happen. As John says (and I’m paraphrasing him here), “Don’t go stupid places at stupid times and do stupid things with stupid people”.😮 Common sense, avoidance, and awareness, Thanks John
You try that with a real monster, someone at the right edge of the bell curve for height and weight, on your neck, and you're likely to get choked, hung, and kneed in the back in quick succession.
That dude screamed like a little old lady, then "I think I smell hair burning" from his buddy. It was funny, but let's face it, a little bit of firebending can be fun! You're right John, we can't be messing around thinking this is a valid defensive tactic.
That video is actually genius😂, relax John this is obviously a funny video, nobody actually thinks this will work in real life because nobody walks around with a lighter in their hand.🙄
The other thing is she was waiting for him to choke her, if it’s a fight that ends up with him choking – lot less tenable; or if it’s a blind attack from behind again less tenable

Dude, the second one within 24 hours is ludicrous! This is no longer the innocent, "proper education" you were claiming in the first. This IS starting to form a pattern of picking and singling out specific YouTubers and putting down what they do, starting a YouTube beef if you will.
It was a clever ruse, but it would not stop a truly determined assailant. Even if he was set on fire as you lit his garment, YOU'RE NOW ON FIRE TOO. And your face will burn first while his arm burns…that's a loss compared to anything except death.
