i think that the best option is a mongolian or turkish bow, bacause it is shorter, that gives you movility in a house, and the oriental style is more stable in movement than metiditeranian style, a other aventage is that the oriental style dont need ancher point so is better in complete instintive shooting

Idk. 30+ years as medic/firefighter, lots of GS wounds, knives, blunt force etc. I wouldn’t be concerned about a short bow in home… use blunts, just the .38 shell case types. Some have small blades. Ya, that hit n the leg, I’m going to limp around and get you, is about as plausible as the GS wound in the leg or shoulder. It can work if practiced

If they don't immediately flee when confronted, you must COMPLETELY incapacitate all intruders before contacting LE if alone. This eliminates most common non-lethal options. IF they survive, there is a good chance you face lawsuits and charges for defending yourself. Non-lethal self-defense is the worst option in a home invasion.
