They didn't announce themselves. They need to be sued. They were joking around like burglars.

@aryckhamilton7243 says:

This cops in no phucking hurry😂😂 He said I cant find where she's been shot. How hard did you try?

@JrFreak300 says:

"you alright?"…. ummm… doubt it

@daviddai625 says:

This was handled poorly…

@Doogsa-dl8sc says:

Don't mock the lady.

@T_bone says:

John. Can you please, ask POM to update the clips. They are absolutely worthless. Some spring steel or hook to grab cloth so it doesn't just pop out of your pocket or slide off you belt would be a cheap easy change to the design. I have been suggesting this to POM and this channel for 4 years.

@slee2819 says:

Approaching an unsearched prisoner, who just assaulted you, with a flashlight and a napkin in your hand is wild.

Sending your back up officer outside while doing so is even more wild. Then turning your back on, said prisoner to go turn on the lights is insane.

Apparently, nobody taught these guys about the roles of contact and cover officers.

@LunacyLane says:

2 room temp iq officers

@daxmonster3429 says:

The priorities throughout this incident are insane. I think the cops should have stood by and called another agency to handle their call.

@jameswhitaker1324 says:

7:31 I’m going to say this before John breaks it down. That ‘search’ was a total goat rope. There’s no point in searching as a team of two if you’re going to conduct two separate searches. Also, stopping halfway through your disconnected search to gawk at evidence and take pictures of it seems stupid to me. Make a mental note and keep working, preferably together, covering each other. Also, every time I’ve been present for a search like this (couple of times) the officers have loudly announced, ‘DEPUTIES WITH THE BUPKIS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE, IF YOU’RE IN HERE, MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN!’ They aren’t casually sneaking around mixed with casually chatting about passingly interesting things.

16:10 what John says here describes two of the three clearances I’ve been present for. Perps had obviously been there but were not there at the time of the clearance. Deputies, in one case, and officers in the other still conducted the search as though there were still threats inside the structure. The third time, we knew for certain that the perp was in the structure.

@aceylaboy9773 says:

Juss bein honest, her turning her back doesnt eliminate the threat anymore? If me as a civilian man shot another civilian woman with her back turned from me.. what would the consequences be?

@itsDarrell says:

Man this video is so old lol

@atcair33 says:

Come on guys it's not even just training. I'll guarantee you a bunch of civilians who have watched these videos can clear a room much better than these guys can. It's more about running scenarios through your head and paying attention and doing mental reps. I mean if you just go to work and go home and don't watch videos or don't do any reading on your own then you end up with exactly what this is on the video. If you watch these kind of videos and read the websites that talked about tactical movement, room clearing etc you can pick it up without spending too much money on training.
The other thing is, this is an exact case of why officers should practice point shooting. There was no way he was ever getting the sites up to his eyes. She was too close and he needed to fire immediately. If you've never practiced point shooting you end up hitting them in the ass and the calf. If you've practice point shooting you get critical hits because you have the muscle memory to hold the gun correctly to get a hit in 3 to 5 yards.
The more I watch these videos the more incredibly inadequate academy training appears to be. Simply on tactics it seems an officer should spend a month in the gym, running scenarios and force on force training. There is no way departments can afford that but wow. There is so much to learn and a 6 week academy clearly doesn't teach them enough.

@rockyromero98 says:

His pistol keeps flagging himself in the whole video. Glad they safe but man i kept looking at that

@Elnu01 says:

not my first colonoscope but I will take it under advisement , thanks i think.

@bassmangotdbluz says:

She'd hammer out danger.
She'd hammer out a warning.
He'd hammer out gloves between infection and his dermis, all over his hand.
oooh-ooh-ooh.

@jimmartin7437 says:

What a clown show. Crazy woman vs Mac and Mire for hire. These two cops put the stone in key stone.

@bassmangotdbluz says:

Thanks John, but I already had my both ends oscopy this year.

@EricMims-wj9jk says:

He’s straight muzzling himself the entire time!

@merlin3921 says:

I'm a gamer (Insurgency Sandstorm) and I would never do what this officer did.

@PopcornChristian says:

They got no training. But that town the cops never see any action. Its an extremely small town. This is typical of small no name towns. The whole distracting his buddy to read a paper on a table while trying to clear a building is completely INSANE. Lets say it was an armed criminal? And while there reading a book on a table, an armed guy could shoot them all in the back. Its completely insane. They took this like it was a joke. And they look like a joke.

@xtripsx11 says:

Lots of lessons to learn. Great job covering them, team!

@InvisibleMinority says:

A+ for the Peter, Paul and Mary reference.

@PopcornChristian says:

What was the cop looking at on the table?

@tmango78 says:

I hope it’s not these guys that show up if I’m bleeding out.
