MMA fighters vs Women’s self defense. More issues with the Marie Claire self defense video. Response to comments from the original. Testing the protective powers of spandex yoga pants (it seemed to work for Lena Marti) Some positional sparring with Jourdan (aka: the crazy Asian guy in my other videos) Commentary. And an interview with Nils about the de-evolution of martial arts, Combat Karate, boxing, sword fighting, mixing the martial arts, and Xu Xiao Dong beating up mentally ill tai chi and wing chun masters in China.
In a real life situation you cannot expect a pinch or a spit in the eye to work like it mite against a drunk boyfried who would never hurt you but you dont want him touching you that night …and run after cause even he coould become a real situation and then you better know how to reallllllllllllllllllly fight . These videos are all about an idiot doing nothing but one grab and then let himself get used as a practise dummy . So many moves possible from an agressor if you only know those seen in a video you are done
Honestly, if you're a woman who doesn't have time to dedicate to training in an effective martial art, my advice would be to carry a gun. Unless you can't make time to train with that either.
Hey ramsey, first of all i respect you immensly for your honesty and your realism, keep up the awesome work. Second, could you possibly react to DK Yoo ? I mean the is fast as hell and knows alot of martial arts, i think it was 15? Anyways, point is i'm not sure if it's bogus or the real deal. Please make a video about him
I've seen some other women's self-defense videos recently and they were even more useless then Claire's. I know their intention comes from a good place, and I comment on that, but I have to also comment on how the techniques will not be functional. I am all for having fun, but somehow, giggling during self-defense training seems out of place.
Thanks for this video! I didn't know about the derivation of so many martial arts from jujutsu. I found also intresting that even the first fighting sport in Europe history (700 B. C.), was mainly a wrestling sport (Greek wrestling, different from modern Greco-Roman wrestling) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_wrestling
Traditional. People keep using that word without much thought into what its entailing.
These defense techniques might work if the attacker is drunk and wheelchair bound, I stress the word “might”
How come you don't have messed up ears like a lot of fighters? Do you wear the headgear?
"No, my other wrist"
It works on a weaker opponent… or a compliant one. Probably not a good thing to do for a possible rape victim

I'm 72% certain the techniques would have worked if you had gone with the butterfly leggings.

Great video! I have a question, have you ever heard of EFO, yellow bamboo, etc? Could you give your opinion about them?
