Kick to the Groin for Self Defense (Effective or Not?)

Top 5 Dirtiest Self-Defense Fighting Tricks: ► https://www.codereddefense.com/newsletter Complete instructional videos: ► https://www.codereddefense.com/products/complete-set A common question that is asked by self defense students to their instructor is the following one: Is a kick to the groin effective or not for self-defense? Indeed, it’s a common question of many self-defense students, but there are also many people that comment about being certain that a good kick to the balls can finish any type of attacker. So let’s dive into this common self-defense question. Is a kick to the groin effective or not? Truth is, a kick to the balls can indeed be an effective strike, if done well. However, it’s not a sure strike, meaning that it’s not necessarily a fight finishing strike. There are many people out there that can actually “take” a kick to the balls. If you do decide to use a kick to the balls against an attacker, make sure to commit to your kicking movement and time it so that it caches your opponent by surprise. When kicking to the balls, make sure to kick passed the target. Aim farther than the actual target. That will make a greater impact and will make much more damage to the assaillant. Hey Nick I've recently torn my UCL on my right elbow in Jiu Jitsu, was wondering if you could make a video on how to fight with one arm? Thanks

wjf213 says:

Great video as always.

What about a strike to the throat with the curved part of your hand between your thumb and first finger?

I just think since your hands are always up, why not. I know it's a small target and he's probably bebopping around, but I've also seen guys sticking their face out and taunting and their neck is wide open actually.

Also, what about ear slaps with cupped hands?

Keep up the great work.

Everything with multiple attacks

Elohim Senoran says:

The only type of fighting style/ martial art that are definite fight finishers are wrestling or grappling moves. Where some can cut air from the body and others can snap or dislocate bones.

Kick him in the balls so he feels it in his throat !!!
Nick that is the quote of the day my brother… Thanks!
Great video ..

You’re exactly right. One kick? Maybe not — then again, one punch might not do the trick either — but multiple kicks plus squeezes plus tearing etc.? Probably.

And even if not, a groin shot(s) is a great stunner — can really set you up for additional attacks.
