Solid Jack says:

+SageDynamics Aaron I have heard the about the the officer ammo not going off because of unloading and load since then I dont ever unload my defense handgun unless ready need to or training, but why is it that a rifle round is a one and done in cambering?

Emmanuel Goldstein says:

surprised he doesn't top off the mag.

Emmanuel Goldstein says:

That's a big ass flash light to stuff into your pants, unless you have open carry.

bob10mm says:

my defense ammo is cycled (replaced) every 8 months. probably a little anal about ammo in the mags. every 2 weeks the chambered round goes to the bottom of the mag. all rounds checked against non-chambered,new round… thanks again aaron

Anthony Pellegrino says:

Thank you ! I never even thought of this .

I too carry the 147gr HST, I am just curious how you came to carry that over say their 124gr hst? I understand 1 is bigger and slower, etc. Does the 147gr stay together better through barriers or do you find it to provide better penetration in tissue etc. Thx!

I change out the defensive ammo in the spare mags I keep in my truck every six months as well. The vehicle is an ever changing environment subject to big swings in temperature and humidity and lots of vibration. Also, I'm always amazed at the number of people that have NEVER fired a single round of their defensive carry ammo. They just assume it will work in their gun and that it will be accurate. Many won't admit it, but you know who you are.

Garrison Henry says:

Great video, always very informative.  Had a question on how you feel about keeping a round chambered at all times (without clearing), does this make for a unreliable round if I constantly keep the round in.  Example, brand new round, chambered in once, and kept in there until need be without unloading at the end of the day.  Do you recommend swapping the round out after a certain amount of time?

David Rubio says:

Thanks awesome information.
