The best semi auto rifle I have I shoot 2" at hundred yards. That's my personal standard, I do hunt and I want to make sure they go down with one shot.
Anything better than 3 MOA shoots better than I can so no sense for me to spend sub-MOA money. I’ll take reliability over long rang accuracy for self defense
2 MOA will get the job done. Minute Of Hog 🐖 Is good enough for me. I've got a 10.5" 5.56 that is sub MOA but from field shooting positions that doesn't matter much.
If someone can do SUB MOA at 300 yards so what, how many of your enemies can you get to stand still at 300 yards so you can line up your sights and shoot him. Static targets are not real life. As a civilian why would I need to shoot somebody at 300 600 or a thousand yards. As long as I can hit 8 in Target at a hundred yards that's all you need, at some point of distance it's no longer Defending Your family, your home or your property, it becomes murder. I say this as a person who lives in the south and there is not a whole lot of thousand yard Open Spaces to worry about.
