It was my great fortune to learn for nearly 3 decades with a Wing Chun Sifu from Hong Kong who was a second generation instructor from the Ip Man lineage. He is a small man, and does Chin Na finger and wrist controls pretty much like you so nicely demonstrate, to great effect on big strong martial artists. I can attest myself how much those little joint manipulations hurt and how scary they are. I would say those hurt the most I have ever felt without being really injured, so I cringe a little seeing the guys getting the demos:) Thanks for the nice clear illustration of principles in action!
Very interesting. I love biomechanics and kinesiology of martial arts. But I personally prefer self defense methods like TFT (100℅ principle based), or WW2 combatives taught by Damian Ross, or the late a Very GREAT (seriously, look the guy up) Carl Cestari. Extremely effective, extremely simple, and extremely easy to learn.
Hi David, love your channels. Incidentally, I’ve just found another channel called “David Van Arrick” with only videos from/on you. Is that a duplicate channel of yours or perhaps someone else stealing your videos?
I do watch a lot of David's stuff and he's extremely knowledgeable. I can't quite get onboard with some of the NLP videos but that'll come down to my understanding. I just hope he imparts his knowledge on to someone else, for future generations.
Thanks for the video! I've been getting into Kuan Ko Toh alot lately and this is similar!
